About Me

Ink on rice paper
Inspired by many talented artists from the past and the present, I picked up Shui-mo ("water and ink") painting from a local art centre in Hong Kong to begin my art journey. After practising Chinese painting for over a decade, in 2015, I hungered for more and picked up pencil, charcoal, acrylic, watercolour, pastel, ink to build up painting skills and develop my unique style.
Painting is a language. I speak the language sensibly and sensitively to connect the dots among nature, loved ones and the inner me. By using mixed-media, I am able to express freely what I see or feel. I like portraiture in particular but won't limit myself in any subject nor painting surfaces. Mastering a language is a lifetime journey.
